Complete Guide to Kingham Village, Cotswolds
While Kingham village in the Cotswolds is not too big at all, I would not want you to miss such a wonderful experience. If you really want to see the less-touristy places in the regions, this is it.
If you know of the word “posh” I believe this is where it would have probably been invented. This tiny village has such a beautiful atmosphere in any season and those houses… I would love to know the stories they tell…
I personally believe Kingham village is not enough mentioned out there which is quite a good thing though. It is one of the less touristy places and a real gem of the Cotswolds.
And if you’re a foodie, I have the best places for you to eat at. Let’s take you on this lovely British experience.
TO EAT + SLEEP
The Wild Rabbit
Best described by them “The Wild Rabbit is a modern British inn – a place to eat, drink and sleep. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, we serve locally sourced, seasonal food in a relaxed and welcoming setting.”
So how does a menu by Michelin-starred chef Alyn Williams sound like? Is it worth coming to Kingham for this alone? It absolutely is! You get to see the open-style kitchen by the fire and enjoy the most delicious food one would expect from here.
End your day at their 4* hotel for the most charming British experience in the Cotswolds countryside.
Remember to always book in advance if you want to visit The Wild Rabbit.
Daylesford Organic Farm and Shop
Do you want more of that ‘posh’ style vibe? Well, time to visit the most famous organic farm shop in the Cotswolds and actually entire England. With a farm-to-table restaurant, where everything is grown and produced by them or locally. Words like organic, ethically made, plastic conscious, all describe Daylesford farm so well.
The founder, Carole Bamford is the same owner from The Wild Rabbitdown the road so obviously, you get the highest quality produce at both locations.
Daylesford also offers cookery courses and workshops, a Bamford Wellness Spa, yoga classes, a stunning curated clothing store and so much more.
Did I mention there is also a boutique hotel on site, owned by them? Just make sure to book in advance, of course. They are truly very popular.

Very close to Kingham, in Stourton, you can drive to The Cotswolds Distillery. English single-malt whiskey, gin, or liquors, the Cotswolds Distillery is about exquisite quality and flavor, produced locally.
There’s not much to say really, just to taste, I would suggest.
